Lima Fitzrovia was awarded a Michelin star in the 2014 Michelin Guide — the first time a restaurant serving Peruvian cuisine in Europe received a Michelin star. The restaurant held the star until 2018, and continues to be featured in the Michelin Guide today.

Diego Recarte is the head chef of Lima Fitzrovia, appointed in October 2025. Peruvian-born, Diego trained at the Instituto Argentino de Gastronomía in Buenos Aires and the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, and refined his craft at Astrid y Gastón (Lima), D.O.M. (São Paulo), Enigma and Pakta (Barcelona), and the three-Michelin-starred Le Calandre.
